Despite a good reception from within the club for the tough restriction measures advised earlier by the President, the game’s governing body in Australia, the ABF, has annouced a recommendation that all bridge clubs in Australia close. Initially this will be for a four week period, with the decision to be reviewed at the end of that time.
Accordingly, all teaching and competition at the VBA will cease from 9am, Monday 16th March for one month.
This closure will include the State events currently in progress.
The VBA council is meeting on Wednesday evening to discuss the issues involved with all scheduled events within this period and will be taking into account the probability of a longer closure. Further advice will be made after that meeting.
In the interim, please remain safe and well
