The 2019 Australian National Championship will be held at the Bayview Eden between July 14th and 25th. The first week will include the Interstate teams where teams from each state in Open, Womens, Senior and Youth categories will compete. All well as the Interstate Teams there will bridge events for everyone during this week. The second week will include the various TBIB Butler Pairs Championships (Open, Restricted, Womens, Seniors). State Teams have been selected and congratulations to all representatives on their selection. We very much look forward to seeing you in Melbourne and wish you further success!
We are also keen to welcome players to the TBIB Butler Pairs Championships and any of the many side events. In conjunction with the Interstate Teams Championship we will be running the Bridge Fringe Festival. This festival has events for all levels and we have recently added a Novice event (under 50 masterpoints as at 31stMarch) to the program. Restricted players will have category prizes in all Fringe events some of which are ‘walk in’ sessions and, for those looking for more challenging bridge, there are one and two day events on every day of the program. Car parking at the venue will be abundant with spaces in the block adjoining the rear of the Bayview (Queens Lane) plus some neighbouring undercover in the hotel (all parking $14 per day).
The Victory Dinner on Friday 19thJuly will be a special occasion, celebrating success and enjoying good wine and contemporary cuisine – please book your place ($100pp).
Whilst our venue will be warm and inviting, Melbourne in winter can be cold!
