The Match and Tournament Committee is adjusting the structure for selecting the Victorian Open team to contest the Interstate Teams championship.
In 2016, a four-stream process was introduced to select the Victorian Open team. A playoff was held in 2017 and 2018 between the Pennant winning team, the team with the highest number of Victorian Qualifying points (VQP), the top three eligible pairs from the Butler Championship final, and the top three pairs from the Victorian Representative Teams Pairs Selection event which was open to all Victorian players.
MTC has decided to discontinue the Victorian Representative Teams Pairs Selection event due to a lack of player interest and support.
Update: MTC asked all interested players to complete a brief survey on three options for adjusting the selection structure. The survey has now closed.
