In the Pennant Semi-Final and Finals played on weekend of the 19th & 20th November Denny Newland – Stephen Lester, Douglas Newlands – Arthur Robbins from Geelong knocked out red hot favourites THOMPSON (Ben Thompson – Bill Jacobs, Simon Hinge – Robert Fruewirth) in the semis and then went on to beat FRAZER (Kim Frazer-Jamie Ebery, Kitty Muntz – Leigh Gold, Ben Kingham – Sylvia Gluck) in the final. This is the first time a non Melbourne team has won the Pennant (The Victorian Open Teams). Congratulations to the team!
